Empowering Tulsans Towards Sustainable Homeownership
SOHI empowers Tulsans who are at risk of losing their home to tax debt

SAVING OUR HOMES INITIATIVE (SOHI)
SOHI is a short-term program designed to empower under-resourced Tulsans! We help to build intergenerational wealth by increasing financial literacy and improving access to resources that support homeownership!
Developed in collaboration with the City of Tulsa, Tulsa Economic Development Corporation (TEDC), and the Financial Empowerment Center (FEC), SOHI is a beacon of hope for Tulsa’s under-resourced households.
WHAT WE OFFER:

The primary eligibility requirement is that you reside in a qualified census tract as defined by HUD OR make less than 60% of the Tulsa Area Median Family Income. Please call 918-585-8332 to learn more.
We will follow up with you to learn more about your circumstances and let you know if we can help you. If you are eligible, we'll review the program requirements, schedule you for financial counseling with Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center, and review other important information. In the event that we are not able to help, we will do our best to direct you to a local organization who can.
Residents who are approved for SOHI must participate in an intergenerational wealth session and complete financial counseling and build a legacy plan with the Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center.
SOHI ends on June 30, 2025. If you are interested, please apply well in advance so that you are able to go through the program before this date.

This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLT- 1498 awarded to the City of Tulsa by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
